Sunday went flying by

HI GANG,

Monday is here. I missed my Sunday entry cause ---whoosh---. Life is really moving. I have only heard from Maggie and Kim the last couple of weeks. Kim, don't fret over the missionaries visiting you and "encouraging" you to do missionary work. That's what they do. Nurture and feed them. Your responsibility is to raise 3 boys and a girl (Yea) and to look after your good husband and share your testimony with people every chance you get (and sometimes use words). You are a great example of the blessings of Gospel living just by the life you led. This is definitely a don't worry, be happy. Maggie, it really made my day last week when Darren called to tell me he could make a pop sound with finger and lips and Laura told me she loved me. I'm a very blessed GrandPa. I love all my Grandchildred.
Now for some Preachin. Elder Andersons talk, which is the concluding talk of April 2010 conference, really hit the mark. We need to tell our children the stories of Jesus. This will help build in them great faith in their Savior. All of our little ones need to be very familiar with the life of Jesus. In these stories are great hope for each of us. As we tell these stories over and over again our faith will increase along with theirs. Each of you read this talk and apply it to your family. I will do the same.
I love you all, keep smiling.

Fathers Day 2010

Today is Fathers Day,

Happy Fathers Day to me!!!! and all the other fathers to. I don't have a lot to say today. Maggie is the only one that commented on my last blog. I appreciated what she had to say. Get on my blog and check out her comment and make one of your own if you are so inclined. This has been a very busy week. Monday I attended the city/county meeting and learned more about our aquifer. I now officially know more about our aquifer than I ever wanted to know. It is important stuff. I'm glad that there are people who understand all the stuff they have been trying to help me understand. Then I spent Wed., Thurs. and Fri. in Idaho Falls at the Association of Idaho Cities training for elected officials meetings. Those really were good. I'm getting more and more ready to be a city councilman. There is a lot more involved with this office that I knew. Isn't that the way life is. I'm glad that I can be of service and hope to do much good of my own free will and choice. I love you all. Stay HAPPY.

Time IS of the essence

Hey Family,

Another Sunday afternoon has arrived. The weeks go by so fast I think I'm getting dizzy. Brenda asked a good question that I think we as a family ought to discuss together. She asked "What are some suggestions of how to make sure to slow down and take time for the important things and keep up with all of the demands of life at the same time.?" The first thought is to prioritize. When we do this honestly we often find that there are allot of things in our lives that we think are important when in reality they are not. Make a list of the things we spend our time on each 24 hour period we call a day. Then list them in order of importance with an estimate on how much time they take. Be honest. Things like TV, games, entertainment reading, time on the computer, sleeping/napping, hobbies, eating, talking on the phone or to a friend and the such may need some adjusting. Wholesome entertainment is a good thing when in check but entertainment in general is way overrated. We must be about the business Heavenly Father sent us here to accomplish. In life there are good things and there are vital things give most of your time to the vital things.
OK family--- other suggestions?
Kimberly shared a cute story about Austin. We all want to go to heaven and TOGETHER! Kim you are not weak only human and I'm glad you want to do better, that's the idea.
By the way is there a way for you all to read the comments on my blog?? I hope so, if not we may need to find another way to do this. Let me know.
Brenda and Kimberly were the only ones to comment on last weeks blog. I hope others saw it. Let me know.
I love you all and know that the Lord will bless and magnify your righteous efforts. The Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. LIVE IT.

It was great to be with ya all

Family,

Where did ya all go? Man what a fast passing week. I can't believe the week we looked forward to for so long has come and gone so quickly. And I didn't get a chance to preach, what's up with that? Craig did a great job with his "preachin minute", and I say amen to what he had to teach us. If any of you missed that you ought to get ahold of him and let him teach you a wonderful truth.
I shared something in my testimony in church today that I would like to share with all of you. Last week when Ashley and I went to the store I asked her how she knew I loved her. She thought for a moment and then said, "Because you always have, Grandpa." That was a sweet and amazing answer. It really touched me. I got thinking about it and that is the best answer to how do we know that Heavenly Father loves us. Because He always has. Thank you for teaching that truth Ashley. I always have loved each one of you. I'm so glad that Heavenly Father sent us all to earth to be together as a family in this wonderful day and age.
I just got thinking and one of the reasons that preachin by blog is so hard is because there is no inter-action. I need to have some comments but especially questions. So submit questions and make comments then we can have a discussion. Let me conclude today with this thought. As busy as life is, and will remain, do not allow yourself to be to busy for the most important things. Always have time for the Lord and your family. When this life is all over you'll be glad you did. I love you all. Keep Smiling.
